Menaul School’s Global Week is a celebration of international culture that incorporates role-playing activities, project-based learning, cross-disciplinary study, and community-building to push our kids into the World Smart mindset.
Each year, Global Week focuses on topics of importance for our World Smart students. Global Week has pushed our children to understand the plight of refugees with a march to the Rio Grande to collect water from the river and return it to the school.
Global Week has cultivated a sense of gratitude for education in the United States with a simulation of life in a third world school system. Students had to share worn pencils and scraps of paper as they struggled to memorize answers to a college entrance examination which would mean the difference between a life of success or poverty.
There’s only one common thread among Global Week activities: they are all lessons that will last a lifetime as we educate students in Mind, Body, and Spirit.
